Paula’s out sick and the guys have boy time, and talk about some of the ups and downs of moonlighting as a graphic designer.

Discussion Points

  • If there is a company moonlighting policy, review it and meet with a legal officer or chief operating officer to check that your moonlighting activities would conflict.
  • If what you’re doing wouldn’t be viewed favorably, don’t tell anyone at the office. There is no such thing as a secret.
  • Never use company resources or time for your moonlighting.
  • Time management is key, it’s best to turn down work and maintain a good reputation for high quality work that’s on time, rather then filling your pipeline and producing work that is not your best due to lack of time.
